Label Construction

A typical label consists of 3 components. 

A face material is supported by the liner with special adhesive in the middle

1. Face Material

Embossed, pure ECF pulp paper. Wet Strength.

2. Adhesive

General purpose, water-based, strong permanent adhesive. Good adhesion to all normal substrates – especially wet surfaces at low temperatures. Specifically designed for glass containers with water/ ice immersion.

3. Release Liner / Backing

Supercalendered glassine paper, white.

1. MD - Machine Direction
2. CD - Cross Direction

Uses & Application

Specifically designed for product labels of high added value in glass containers – such as wine, oil, water, and liquors.

Shelf Life

2 years, under storage conditions as defined by FINAT section 2.5 (20-25ºC, 40-50% RH)

Additional Information:

According to FDA regulations, the adhesive must be separated from foodstuffs by a functional barrier.
