Label Construction

A typical label consists of 3 components. 

A face material is supported by the liner with special adhesive in the middle

1. Face Material

Transparent, gloss coated heat stabilized polyester film. Due to the pre-treatment, the film is printable by common label
printing methods like letterpress, flexography, screen and offset.
Special inks designed for non-absorbent materials should be used.
Laser and copier.

2. CD - Cross Direction

2. Adhesive

General use acrylic permanent adhesive including smooth and slightly rough or curved surfaces.

3. Release Liner / Backing

General purpose universal permanent acrylic water borne adhesive. Good adhesion to a wide variety of substrate including corrugated board and non polar substrates, also at low temperatures.

Uses & Application

For A4 and Cut-size applications. Excellent clarity, UV-stability and good water resistance once labelled. Good adhesion properties and heat resistance. Limited adhesion at low temperatures. The highest end-use temperature must be separately checked together with the face material.

Shelf Life

4 years, under storage conditions as defined as 20ºC, RH 50%) Storage in high temperature will shorten shelf life.
