Christmas 2025 | Die Cut Stickers

Estimated reading time: 1 minute

With the Christmas period approaching, we created some die cut stickers using our Matt White Vinyl to celebrate. We opted to illustrate some of the most iconic Christmas images, read all about them below.

Rudolph Sticker

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer is the ninth and the youngest of Santa's reindeer. His glowing red nose made him famous for helping Santa Claus to deliver presents on a foggy Christmas eve by guiding his sleigh. As a fawn Rudolph was ridiculed for his red nose, but the brightness of it is so powerful that it illuminates the team's path through harsh winter weather.

Christmas Stocking Sticker

The tradition of Christmas stockings comes from the legend of St. Nicholas, otherwise known as Santa Claus. One Christmas, he secretly dropped gold coins down a chimney for a poor man with three daughters. The coins, according to the story, landed in the stockings the daughters had hung by the fireplace to dry. The legend spread, and eventually, children started hanging their own stockings to receive gifts from Santa. This tradition eventually turned into stockings as we know them today.

Christmas Tree Sticker

Christmas trees originated from 16th-century Germany, where a tradition of decorating fir trees indoors during the festive season developed. The tradition even dates back to pagan and medieval times where evergreen boughs were used to symbolise life and light during winter. It was made widely popular in the UK in the 1840's by Queen Victoria where early decorations included candles, fruit, and cookies and later, tinsel, baubles and electric lights as we know it today.

Santa Hat Sticker

As we know, spotting Santa is not easy, so how do we know what his suit and hat look like? Santa's red outfit evolved from the robes of Saint Nicholas, before he became Santa Claus himself. Today we see Santa in films and adverts wearing the red suit which solidifies the image of his bright red hat with white fur lining in our minds.

Snowman Sticker

The origin of the snowman is not precisely known, but during the Middle Ages, snowmen were a form of art and a way for communities to express themselves during winter. During this time, snowmen were often built by adults rather than children, which is different to the association we have today. The modern, festive image of the snowman became more widespread in the 19th and 20th centuries with the rise of Christmas traditions.

Christmas Pudding Sticker

Christmas pudding originated in the 14th century as a savory porridge called "frumenty,". The dish gradually evolved over several centuries, becoming sweeter, more solid, and eventually a rich, festive dessert that is a key part of the modern British Christmas meal. The dessert is often referred to as  "figgy pudding" because in some regions, especially in 19th-century Devon, the word "fig" was used as another name for raisins, a key ingredient in what is now known as Christmas or plum pudding.
